What began as a small guesthouse in Leogang has grown into one of the finest 4-star Superior hotels in the Salzburg region. The Herbst family — now in its third generation — has always stayed true to its values: genuine hospitality, love of detail, and an uncompromising passion for quality.
Today, the MICHELIN Star restaurant dahoam, a 2,000 m² Mountain Spa, and a location directly on the ski slope make the Riederalm a unique destination — for families, couples and gourmets alike.

Head chef, host and the face of the MICHELIN-starred restaurant dahoam. Andreas cooks regionally, seasonally and with genuine passion for the produce of his homeland. Awarded 4 Gault-Millau toques, 1 MICHELIN Star and the Green MICHELIN Star for sustainability.
Thomas Herbst
Junior Director & Certified Sommelier
Thomas bridges kitchen, cellar and guest experience. As a certified sommelier, he curates the wine cellar "Weinblick" and hosts the weekly wine journey. His personal touch can be found in every detail of the house.
Elfriede Herbst
Senior Director
Elfriede Herbst is the heart and soul of the house. For decades, she has embodied the family warmth that makes every stay at the Riederalm truly special.

Maître d'hôtel & Sommelier
Since 2007, Fernando has been the face of the service team. With expertise, charm and a fine sense for enjoyment, he leads the restaurant. His wine recommendations are legendary — Fernando is part of the family.
